Communication, can you live without it??? If you just said yes, then I would like to say you that you are lying my friend, Lying!!! No one can live without communication, YES, even the ones who can’t speak can communicate (I am not trying to hurt you if you are one of them, so please have a J on your cute face). So, how many of you do know about the history of Communication??? I think many do, but those who don’t know about it. Don’t worry my friend! When I am here, then why should you fear. Yeah??? So, you would know that the languages are not with us from the time of the creation of the earth. The languages did came up after a long period of time when we got enough time to work on our communication skills. So, it was a long process for improving our communication skills. The story starts from the time when human was not a human but what we call ‘em those who doesn’t wear full clothes??? Yeah, those earlymen!!! This is the story from that time. So, be ready to know about the history of communication.

Wall Paintings

(credit :

This was the first attempt by the earlymen for conveying their messages to others. They painted something on the wall (whether their painting was very bad like me or not, but they did 😉 ). And the fact was that others understood what the first had painted and helped ‘em ofcourse if they demanded help and anything else. But can we now do it. Probably not. But we can still try if we want to. But who the hell will waste his/her time to do such silly things. Right???

Smoke Signals

smoke_signals(credit :

I don’t know much more about this topic that I will be able to write a paragraph with 100 words. But this technique was helpful when someone was lost somewhere. What the person had to do was just to make a fire or what you call burn a fire. And then he/she has to make the smoke (produced by fire) go far by giving them direction by any object. I don’t know whether it was discovered before languages or after. But what I think is they would have come before languages. Do You agree???

According to me, after the above two, then came the languages. Till the best way to communicate. Many peoples came up with many languages like Sanskrit and English and Hindi and Greek and many more. But people says that Sanskrit was the first language made others says Greek some English and many people have many other languages as the first language made. What do you think??? Which one of them is correct??? Languages were the basic of communication. People communicated by this. But then many developments were made.

Pigeons, ahhh!!!, make remember me of the movie “Maine Pyaar Kiya”. Languages were made, but this was not possible to send messages to those who you can’t visit. But then people thought Pigeons as the mean to send their messages (letters :D) to those who want to. Pigeons were able to fly far enough. The best example of this is displayed in Salman Khan’s movie “Main Pyaar Kiya” which I mentioned above. Pigeons were used to send messages around 5th century BC.

After Pigeons were used, people try to find many ways to communicate with each other like Heliographs, Signal Lamps, Trumpets and drums etc. But I don’t consider ‘em as great inventions. If you do, then you are free to share your knowledge about ‘em down in the commentary box. So, I don’t know the exact time when anyone come up with the idea of planting Mailboxes and Post Offices all around the Globe. But this was really a great invention or you can say Discovery. Whether it would take a long time for letters to reach their destination and for the reply to reach back for the sender. But my mum says that it was a good experience to wait eagerly day and night for my dad’s letter to reach their home and waiting for replies. Have you had such an experience??? I don’t have. I missed it

And then around 1890s, there was a very interesting scientist Alexander Graham Bell. Who struggled very hard to improve the way we communicated??? And after very hard struggle, he comes up with a telephone that worked (Don’t know whether it was his idea or he copied uniquely just like Isaac Newton). He tested it with his assistant and the test succeeded. I have a question for all readers who are reading this. And I seriously don’t know about this answer. Please if you’ll be able to answer it, then I request you to answer. So the question is “When Bell tested the telephone with his assistant, Was then network able??? If yes, then how??? And If no, so how did he tested the telephones???”

And then this, that and this

I think you may know what happened after this. The telephones started to sell in Global Market. Then people tried to improve this. Computers come up as an Avatar for many of the technology lovers at that time. But this was not an portable one. The computers of that time were as big as our room. I think you might know. And then a International Network was established around 1960s which we now call “Internet”. Motorola’s owner comes up with an mobile phone in 1980s. Emails were also formed. And then Steve Jobs showed us a mobile phone with only a single button in 2007. And the Phone was called “Apple iPhone”. I don’t think that I have to tell you more about new form of Communication. You all know!

Ballpoint Pens, I have been talking about this from 3 days now. And I think that you might be having fun. So, here I start with a successful attempt of Ballpoint Pens. And who was behind this successful attempt, I think, this maybe a question raised in your mind if you are interested in this topic. This was an 54 years old Chicago Salesman(at that time when Biro brothers were working for their pens, 1935, 54 years old) named Milton Reynolds(after which Reynolds pen manufacturers are started). He was a salesman and he didn’t that he will achieve that much name :D(who know his future!!!). If you hadn’t read the previous articles describing the struggle behind a better improved ballpoint pens. Then I may suggest you to read about John Loud’s attempt and Biro brother’s attempt at making better improved ballpoint pens. Actually, what Reynolds created was not original, it was created by Biro brothers, his job was to sell it off and make changes in it. In my language Reynolds was also an artist(because he copied but in the way that no one can recognize it).

Where did the story started???

Milton Reynolds set out for vacations in Argentina at the same time when Biro brothers were making out their 2nd design for a better and improved ballpoint pen. Reynolds noticed their pens in the stores(he knew that these pens were not successful 😦 ). And then an idea struck to his mind, and the idea was that these pens were be successful if they were transported to America. He made some changes in Biro’s design. Then, Reynolds set up an pen manufacturing factory in America with over 300 workers. And Milton Reynolds became the first American pen manufacturer. They made millions of pens. Reynolds made a deal with Gimbels to be the first retail store in America to sell out Ballpoint Pens. The sales were too big. Milton Reynolds earned a lot from ’em and became real rich. After watching Reynolds doing this and earning a lot, several American businessmen see this as an growing business field. And many of them involve themselves in this business.

And then many American businessmen involved themselves in this business competing each others pens. Many introducing some new features to their pens like waterproof pens, upside down writing pens, pens that could write ten carbon copies etc.

Winner is not the one who does different things, but the one, who do the same thing uniquely.

And in this way, Milton Reynolds introduced the ballpoint pen to the world. How was this???? Don’t mind to put your view down on the commentary box!!!

triangularbarrelballpointpen_74882Way back to my aricle where I had left it, I am sure that you might had read the article Ball Point Pens – John Loud’s attempt. Yes, it was the story of John Loud that can not publicize his own invented pen. Well, now I am taking you to the second famous attempt to making an Ballpoint Pen. It is the story of two brothers(if you are guessing the wright brothers, if so, then you are getting me wrong). This is the story of Biro brothers of Europe, so, The bigger one was Ladislas Biro and the smaller one Georg Biro. Ladislas Biro was a Newspaper editor by profession. He had studied medicine, arts and hypnotism(so, why was he editing newspapers???? :D). And the smaller one, Georg Biro was a chemist by profession.

Where does the problem started???

English: A highly magnified image of the tip o...

English: A highly magnified image of the tip of a ballpoint pen. Edit by User:Samsara of :Image:Ballpointpentip.jpg. (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

The problem started when Ladislas Biro was working in newspaper editing. And he was frustrated of by the amount of time wasted in refilling the ink of Fountain pen and cleaning up ink smudges. Besides this, the sharp tip of Fountain pens often tore the paper they used to make newspapers. So in the determination of designing a good pen which can be used for making newspaper, he called out for his brother, Georg Biro. Ladislas Biro and Georg Biro sat for hours and days(who knows may be for weeks, months and maybe years!!! But i am sure they didn’t had that potential to sat for weeks) for making better models/designs and formulating better inks to be used in ’em.

Where did they got break???

One day, the both brothers were seating at a seashore enjoying their vacations, while they met a elder person who seems to be great, named Augustine Justo(president of Argentina at that time). Biro brothers showed(in my language, bragged) him their design or models of ballpoint pens, and the President, Augustine Justo urged them to set up a small factory in Argentina to design their developed pens. And the Biro brothers flied to Argentina.

Once they were in Argentina, they found that many investors were willing to invest on their invention. And then in 1943, they opened a manufacturing plant. But unfortunately, their pens failed.

What were the bugs of these pens???

The pens that they designed were, not good enough. The biggest bug of these pens were that if they were hold in a slant position, the pen couldn’t write in that way, it has to be hold in a straight position, only then the ink ran downwards to the nib of the pen. And it was a great failure to Biro brothers. But they were not so much easy to beat. They overcame with some new design of pens. They returned to their laboratory and designed which relied on capillsry action(i don’t know much about this, but this means that the ink now will not have to depend on gravity to run down to the nib of the pen). And the rough ball at the end acted like a metal sponge, it absorbed the ink and with this improvement, the pens now could be held slant rather than straight. And one year after, they were selling the improved version of their pen. But it didn’t gave them the success they wanted. And they had beaten, they ran out of money.

How was it??? Want more to know???

Ballpoint-pens_john_loudBallpoint pens is the invention that means a lot. But we don’t even know the name of who invented Ballpoint pens!!! How many of you use Ballpoint pen??? If you are saying NO!!!, then please don’t lie. Ballpoint pens was not invented by a single person(actually was, but it was not the type of ball pen we use today.)The invention of ballpoint pens was an attempt by John Loud, then we found some bugs then fixed it, and more bugs and more fixing. Then we had got the type of ball pens today we use.

Story of John J. Loud

John J. LoudIt was the time of 1888. John Loud was an American leather tanner. John J. Loud experienced many difficulties to note down any marks, lines and curves in the leather with his pencil. He was very irritated with not being able to see where he had marked things, where to cut the leather and with many more things. So, he decided to make a pen whose ink will be dark enough to be seen by naked eyes. And he did, he come up with a ball point pen, its ink was dark enough to be seen by dark eyes. Loud’s pen featured a ball in his nib and a reservoir of dark ink. The work of the roller ball was to apply the ink to the leather hides. But unfortunately, he was not able to introduce his invented pen to the huge crowd of America. This was the story of John J. Loud. But the story of Ballpoint pens doesn’t end here. John J. Loud was according to me, a good scientist(before he doesn’t copied any idea from somewhere, it was his necessity to invent a pen which could help him in his work).

As it is said :-

Necessity is the mother of invention.

Bugs of Loud’s attempt

But Loud’s attempt had many bugs to be used in paper. The major problem of these pens were ink – if the ink they used were thin, the pen started to leak and if the ink was too thick, then it started to clog. And if sometimes the temperature was unsuitable for the ink, the pen would clog and leak at the same time.

What do you know about ballpoint pens or any invention related to anyone’s necessity???

Mass Production is a technology due to which we are having many products at the cost of which we can afford ( I can not because I don’t like to save money.) so many things. The story of mass production is a very interesting story. Mass Production had made things affordable. So the story was around 19th century. Ford was a automobile company started by Henry Ford. Henry Ford was not the one who started mass production but he copied the idea from someone else. He was a businessman-cum-artist(for me). Actually, the idea of mass production come from the great economist Adam Smith(don’t know whether he had copied it or not). Adam Smith mentioned the idea in his book “The wealth of Nations” which was published in 1770s. And was first practiced in 1790s. But then it didn’t grew popular world widely until Henry Ford practiced it. And one another thing, he was not the one who carried the idea to himself. It was his assistant(I must say, but I don’t remember his name yet) who went to a slaughterhouse( a place where the meat of animal is cut) and he saw there that every person there was working continuously the same work over and over again. So, an idea struck to his mind. And he reported the idea to his boss. And he was really impressed by the idea which was given to him by his assistant.henry ford And the idea was to create an assembly line in which worker are bonded to only a single work continuously over the whole day. This was a great technique for the production of their product. But the workers in the company of Ford were not happy as they had to do the same work repeatedly and fast, this caused ’em pain in their vital body parts. So, they formed an union and protested against Henry’s assembly line. Henry Ford has to accept their requests of increasing their wages for the sake of production of cars. So, Ford accepted their request by the doubling their wages up to $5 but at the same time he also declared that in future, their will be no unions made. And, as the result of which there was a new Model-T Ford car produced every 3 minutes. This was an honor to Ford & the company. And these cars were made affordable for the US citizens. And this was the only reason that the Ford’s cars were sold very heavily. One after one, millions of cars were sold. And after watching this, whole US car manufacturers adopted the idea of Mass Production(Ford’s assembly line). And as Ford increased the wages of worker in the industry, the car were made affordable to the workers also. As the whole US car manufacturers copied the same system. Car production in the US rose from 2 million in 1919 to more than 5 million in 1929. And the European market of cars also started to copy it. Model-T Ford was the first mass produced car.

It was the only thing I had to say about Mass Production. Mass Production (according to Adam Smith) is simply producing for mass. Now, I want to say some thing about Adam Smith, I don’t know whether it was his own idea or not. But I think he would had copied it from the manufacturer of human, because he had made so many humans(humans for mass, LOL…..  :D). Well, I don’t think that original ideas come too easily.

Now, If you have something to say about Mass Production. Then, it would be a pleasure for me to read something from my readers. And feel free to share the stuff with your friends and their friends.

Master of art of copyingYes,  Isaac Newton was an artist my friend. He was an artist. How??? Do you know that copying is an art??? You might say anyone can copy!!! where is the art!!! But the art is in how you copy can you make others know that you had copied or not. Can you make people believe that what you are copying is only yours content not of any other?? It is the art in copying. So, Isaac Newton is an artist before he copied from someone and he didn’t let anyone knew that he had copied. Because he was master of this art. But we can not say it he had copied, we must say that he presented the thing that creator can not. So, here the story start… I can’t say much about other laws but I had studied Newton’s 3rd law of motion from somewhere else. And before I start, I would like to say that what I am writing is completely based on mine thoughts. I am not like Newton(probably because I can’t spend my whole life to answer a question, I have Google, Newton didn’t had) and I am not responsible if there stands a person who thinks like me.

So, let’s first study Newton’s 3rd law of motion :-

3rd law of motion So, Newton’s third law of motion states that every equation has an equal and opposite reaction. I hope you might know about this. But let me tell you it is simple. As the picture says if you will do like this, the skateboard may go backward(following equal reaction) and you might go forward (following opposite reaction). So, here Newton’s story ends and let me take you to original creator ‘Archimedes‘.

Archimedes’ Principle

archimedes' principleI am sure that here everyone of you might have heard Archimedes’ Story.

If you want to know about Archimedes’ Story then you can simply click on the link I had provided to you. So, Archimedes’ Principle stated that the weight of fluid displaced by object is equal to the buoyant force exerted by the fluid.

And let me tell you somethings :- Weight = Force (in the term of physics)

And buoyant force is the force exerted by any fluid in upward direction. And you know anything that enters any fluid goes only down(as it is the law of gravity).

So, relating this, the great artist Isaac Newton simplified his statement, that the force exerted by any object is equal to the force exerted by fluid in opposite direction(as the object exerts force downwards and fluid upwards).

And now what, Newton had to experiment it for all things and he did. And the last step he had to replace every force word with action and reaction.

So, according to me, Newton was an artist rather than an Scientist. So, learn something from Newton. Every work you done if done finely, neatly and cleanly, then it could be an piece of art.

Life is an work of art. Demi Lovato
